A chance of afternoon and evening thunderstorms is predicted for the rest of the week in Hemet, San Jacinto and the region. The monsoonal moisture pattern from the south and the east is very active, and should lead to at least partly cloudy afternoons beginning Thursday, and perhaps scattered showers and thunderstorms west of the mountains. A surge of moisture from former tropical storm Julio is due to arrive in the region over the weekend, continuing the thunderstorm threat through Monday. Afternoon temperatures should remain around seasonal norms, and clearer skies are predicted after Labor Day and into early next week.
